Family Physician/Practitioner, Full Time or Part Time
Position Summary
The Family Physician/Practitioner will provide outpatient primary and preventive health care services at Alaska Treatment Center. The Family Physician’s services will be done in the clinic or via telehealth services. He/she will also collaborate with the other clinicians at ATC for case management and the office manager for scheduling clients.
Primary Responsibilities
-
Responsible for performing comprehensive outpatient primary and preventive health care services in clinical or telehealth settings during scheduled hours. These include completing patient notes within three days of the appointment, creating treatment plans, refilling or issuing medication prescriptions, and coordinating with other clinicians, social workers, or other team members to coordinate client care.

Ability to navigate and document on the EHR (Icanotes) independently.

Ability to do after-hours call coverage in collaboration with other medical staff to maintain continuous patient care.

Work closely with ATC clinicians to ensure the delivery of integrated, comprehensive primary care services.

Prescribe or provide treatment, therapy, medication, vaccinations, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illnesses, diseases, or injuries.

Order, conduct, and interpret tests, and review records, reports, and examination data to diagnose patients' conditions.

Monitor patients' conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Licensed Physician in the State of Alaska

Current certification in BLS.

Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Full-time applicants should be available to work for 40 hours per week; part-time applicants should be available at least 24 hours per week.

Must possess good interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize multiple functions or tasks.
Preferred Qualifications

Completed a residency program and are currently practicing Family Medicine, either with or without Obstetric care.
Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Full or Part Time
Position Summary
The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) will deliver quality care to patients from 5 years old and above at Alaska Treatment Center. The FNP services will be done in the clinic or via telehealth services. He/she will accurately maintain and administer follow-up appointments as needed, and collaborate with the other clinicians at ATC for case management, and the office manager for scheduling clients.
Primary Responsibilities

Responsible for performing initial patient screenings, patient history, physical examinations, and preventive health measures in clinical or telehealth settings during scheduled hours. These include completing patient notes within three days of the appointment, creating treatment plans, refilling or issuing medication prescriptions, and coordinating with other clinicians, social workers, or other team members to coordinate client care.

The scope of services includes outpatient individual or group psychiatric evaluations and medication management services.

Orders interprets, and evaluates laboratory or diagnostic test results for clients to identify and assess patient’s clinical problems and health care needs

Responsible for making independent decisions for treatment interventions based on protocols

Recommends various forms of treatment for acute and chronic diseases.

Document all services performed for accurate billing for services provided in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws.

Refer patients for inpatient or outpatient care, depending on their necessity.
Minimum Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Nursing

FNP (Psychiatric- Mental Health Nurse Practitioner) Certification

Medical training for family practice, general practice, or other primary care practice orientation, with an understanding and interest in preventive and community health

At least 2+ years of nursing experience

Ability to work within a team and strong written and interpersonal communication skills.

Doctoral & Master Prepared Counselors, Full or Part-time
Position Summary
The Master’s-Level Counselors will provide crisis intervention, suicide prevention, referrals, and counseling to individuals who contact the Alaska Treatment Center for emotional distress, particularly those at high risk for suicidal and/or homicidal thoughts and behaviors. The Master’s Level counselor services will be done in the clinic or via telehealth services. He/she will accurately maintain and administer follow-up appointments as needed, and collaborate with the other clinicians at ATC for case management, and the office manager for scheduling clients.
Primary Responsibilities

Responsible for conducting assessments, counseling, referrals, crisis intervention, and suicide prevention support in clinical or telehealth settings during scheduled hours.

Responsible for completing patient notes within three days of the appointment

Document all services performed for accurate billing for services provided in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws.

Manage interactions to ensure an appropriate level of support is provided efficiently.
Minimum Qualifications

A Master’s Degree in psychology, social work, or a related field required

Active listening skills and efficiency with information-gathering, and problem-solving to facilitate resolution of inquiries.

Ability to maintain a professional demeanor when handling crises and other difficult contacts

At least 1 - 2 years experience in providing client care

3+ years of experience as a counselor
Medical Assistant, Full or Part-time
Position Summary
The Medical Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the Alaska Treatment Center. They will support clinicians and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication.
Primary Responsibilities

Collects and records patient medical histories, vitals, test results, and other data, ensuring confidentiality.

Oversees daily administrative tasks like scheduling, patient check-in/check-out, and managing medical records.

Prepares treatment rooms and assists healthcare providers during medical procedures.

Provides compassionate support and care to patients and their families.
-
Manages medical supply inventory and ensures proper maintenance to keep equipment functioning.

Ensures all healthcare activities comply with regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA standards.
Minimum Qualifications
-
1-3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or medical secretary.

Proficient in medical office management systems and procedures.

Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
-
Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and medical terminology.

Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) credential.

Bachelor’s degree.
